Welcome to the Big Buzz website

Big Buzz is an award winning children’s charity based in the heart of North Liverpool.

Key Activity

At the centre of all we do is our After School Club, which has been running since 1999. This is where Big Buzz started and all the other things we have done along the way have sprung from the relationships that we have made in the club.

In our club we aim to provide the widest possible range of activities so as to broaden the experience of life of the children that attend. The club is organised and led by qualified staff who are assisted by volunteers, and all are police checked.

Ethos

We have a Christian ethos throughout all that we do, and this has been a key part of the motivation for starting up as well as for continuing what we do.

Big Buzz is a place where difference is celebrated, variety is encouraged, and everyone can glimpse God as they grow personally in confidence and ability.

Awards

Over the years we have been honoured to receive a number of awards. Two that we have received over the last 12 months are:

Faithworks Community Inclusion Award 2008 – which is acknowledged by the Prime Minister Gordon Brown at an event at 10 Downing Street

Make a wish with cash for kids and BarclayCard 2007 – which is organised by Liverpool’s radio city in association with BarclayCard

Both these awards were accompanied by substantial grants to Big Buzz for which we would like to express our thanks at every opportunity!
